Rev. Ashley Davis - Associate Pastor
Ashley is a life-long United Methodist and a native of Luverne, Alabama, where she had many formative religious experiences in her home church, Luverne United Methodist Church. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University's Candler School of Theology. Prior to coming to Woodland, she served in campus ministry at the Troy University Wesley Foundation for 8 years. For the last three years, she served the Trinity-Wallsboro charge. She enjoyed serving in many capacities on the Board of Directors for Troy-Pike Habitat for Humanity for several years and on the Board of Directors for The Elmore County Food Pantry.
Ashley enjoys watching and playing sports, fishing, reading, playing guitar, and swimming with her 14 year old son, Will. She is excited about beginning her 5th year at Woodland. Debbie Mills - Children's Program Coordinator
Debbie and her husband, Scott, have 3 children: Sydney (15), Colby (12), and Chloe (8). They have attended Woodland since 2003. Debbie joined the staff in 2004, after being a stay-at-home mom for 5 years. She has earned a certification in Ministries with Children and leads a great group of volunteers and nursery staff who love children. Debbie leads several special events such as the Fall Festival, Easter egg hunt, Vacation Bible School, and Wonderful Wednesdays, as well as ongoing programs such as Sunday School, Children's Church, and Wednesday night activities for kids. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, the lake, and spending time with her family. Debbie can be reached by email.
Scott Borders - Music Minister
Scott is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Huntingdon College in 1985, and his Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1988. Scott has served in churches as a minister of music for the last 25 years. He serves as the full-time Minister of Music at Woodland, where he leads a chancel choir, handbell choir, children's choir, and a praise team. Before coming to Woodland, he served as the full-time Minister of Music at the Saint James United Methodist Church for 10 years. Scott can be reached at the church office 334-272-7230.
Jesse Guffin - Youth MINISTER
Jesse Guffin previously served as Youth Minister at Dadeville United Methodist Church while attending Auburn University. Jesse has been in ministry for several years as a Camp Counselor at Blue Lake United Methodist Camp as a Recreation Coordinator, Dean of Taylor Park, Common Ground & Dumas Wesley Discovery Camps for inner city students, Co-Head Counselor, Interim Program Director and Leadership Staff. This past summer, Jesse added Chapel and Bible Study opportunities for the Camp Counselors to assure they continued their personal discipleship while at camp. Jesse is excited to be joining the church family at Woodland and looks forward to helping our youth grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Leah Floyd - Administrative Assistant
Leah Floyd, Administrative Assistant, joined Woodland's staff in September of 2006. Leah and her husband, Dane, have two adult children: Chris and Haley. Leah can be reached at: office@woodlandontheweb.
Willie Randall - Custodian
Willie has been on the staff at Woodland for several years. He and his family live in Cecil. Willie is retired from Aldersgate UMC in Montgomery.
